The Costa Brava is located in the region of Catalonia in the northeast of Spain. Extending 214 km, this coastal area is notable for the presence of multiple protected natural areas; one of the most important is the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, located in the north of Costa Brava.
The wind and the force of the sea has formed this very abrupt coastline, with little vegetation but very rich fauna.
The small archipelago Las Medes, located in the center of the Costa Brava, is formed by seven islets that are characterized by the great wealth of its marine ecosystem.
The Costa Brava is made up of hidden beaches and coves surrounded by vegetation (Lloret de Mar, Tamariu in Palafrugell, Cala Cristos-Cala Gogo de Calonge, etc.) and small fishing villages such as L’Escala and Palamós. Not to be forgotten is Cadaques, which was the place of residence of one of the greatest representatives of surrealism, the artist Salvador Dalí.
Renting a sailboat on the Costa Brava is a great way to spend a few days with family or friends and discover a region full of nature and history.
